Why IPR?

            Intellect means an idea or thought which culminates out of Human Brain. Intellectual Property includes any form innovation or creation resulting out from Human Intellect. Intellectual Property consist of all the characteristics as that of any other kinds of Property owned by a Person, for example Land or a Car. A person owning a piece of land as his property has got Title, Interest and Rights as to that land. These rights may be exercised by way of licensing of land, selling of land or restricting others into entering the premises by drawing boundaries over the property. Similar rights as to Intellectual Properties exist in IP owner. Owning Intellectual Property is as beneficial in terms of economic aspect as owning a Piece of land.  

WHY TO GET IP PROTECTION?

Theoretically, Intellectual Property are meant to be protected under the laws for the purpose of nurturing the flow of work of creativity and innovation into the society in exchange of economic consideration to the creator of such work.

Practically, due to the worldwide competition, the only ingredient which can make an individual or any enterprise survive in the cut-throat market is Innovation and Originality with respect to Goods and services. Thus in order to protect the Originality and Innovativeness resulting from one’s hard labour and Intellect and in order to appreciate such intellect by providing economic reward for making it accessible to the public, the IP Protections plays an important role.

            Intellectual Property can be owned by an Individual, company, organisations or government. In general, Intellectual Property are owned with the motive of gaining economic return or consideration or remuneration out of the work which is deemed to be protected by the owner of such work.

            Subsequent to the Need of IP Protection, it is also important to consult and take assistance of appropriate IP attorney who has special skills, knowledge and who appreciates, provides inputs in order to widen the scope and bring to the notice, the importance of such Innovation or IP to the public at large.
